hi all, are there any particular supplements that cannot be taken together? like calcium and iron. or calcium and fiber tabs. i have read a few things like this now and again and thought maybe you guys could help fill me in. i take all my prescription meds and supplements together, twice a day. i wonder if some of them counter-act each other? i know if you eat/drink grapefruit/juice with your b/p meds, it makes them more effective. are there other foods that interact with meds and supplements? maybe there is a web site that has this information?

any help you can give is appreciated.

Here's the only thing I've seen so far on mixing vitamins:

" It is true that calcium can interfere with absorption of iron (also

zinc, magnesium and phosphorus). And, in order to keep calcium from

interfering with absorption, it is probably best to take calcium

supplements separately from these minerals. Take calcium and iron

supplements at different times. "

Good luck!

I can add to this.. if you split your vitamin C dose to take half

with calcium & half with iron, vitamin C increases the absorption of

these 2 mineral.. but don't take all 3 together, cuz iron & calcium

interfere with each other.

Hope that helps,
