I am fairly new to this group. This week our little girl, age 5, has been dx with central apnea, a disorder were the brain does not tell the body to take a breath.

Has anyone else experience with this?

thank you for your replies.

Sheldon (just turned 3) showed central apneas during his sleep

study in July. We have no idea what to do about it yet. He also had

obstructive apnea so we had his tonsils out and that has made such a

big difference that we're just not ready to go for another sleep study

to see how much of a problem the central apnea really is. We were

using blow-by oxygen at night before the surgery but aren't using that

any more. His obstructive apnea was really bad, though.

Not sure how all this helps...
