Guest guest
I happen to disagree, respectively, Deb. Just as the Bush and Kerry issues raises red flags and anger issues so do the issues of religion and stem cells research. Many of us have very strong points of view on both. I do not beleive that this is the place to discuss or debate either. I am sure that both of these issues have numerous support or online chat rooms that people may go to if they feel the need to have that discussion. This group I believe was formed for families of children who are battling mitochondrial disorders. Though we may believe in a higher power, or offer our prayers to those in need when it is needed I don't believe it is an appropriate debate topic. I don't want to start a fight anyone here, and I know we have been down this road numerous times on this group before. I believe that if we begin a discussion on religious beliefs it will alienate others who may wish to join but may not feel welcome because of the religious content. Anyways, that is my two cents worth, Dawn
Guest guest
I believe "discussion" is the only way we resolve issues...even if it is to "agree to disagree"...though that is difficult, at times, especially when emotions enter in...and it's hard not to be emotional about such life altering issues. I am not offended by any member here who doesn't hold a religious belief and chooses to express it and I pray those same people won't be offended that I do hold a religious belief, and express it.
