tpn not tolerating feeds and stomach aches

hi everyone

i guess i should upate first since i do not post much. i do read

though just about three days behind. we have three children with mito four

without symptoms our youngest is most afffected. maryelizabeth is 4 and 1/2

now she was tpn dependent from about 1 year till 2 1/2years. last month she

got a bug it last month (it took the other 5 kids that got it 12 hours to

get over). well after 2 weeks in the hospital they put her central line back

in and she is now on tpn 24 hours a day again. her stomach hurt most of the

time if we feed her by j tube or mouth. she just cries and cries. besides

not allowing real food are there any suggestons to help with the stomach

aches. my mom suggested a heating pad but she has a very hard time with her

temperture so that is out. also any of ya'll been on tpn for a long period

and have you had and problems or suggestions i know last time she had to

have several blood transfusions for getting so anemic the dr said it was not

related to the TPN though. (im not sure i agree) thanks for being there
