Quack,

Please search up Sick Building Syndrome; Sick Building Syndrome & sarcoidosis and you will find many hits. There are several very good articles, that you might be able to use to help yourself with your medical care.

Like all the other stuff they think may contribute to sarcoidosis-- it isn't yet proven, but it is a possibility. The jury is still out.

Guys, this interests me, but I am struggling with a mother-in-law that just had major heart surgery, an aortic aneursym that same night, and instead of getting stronger, is getting weaker. Right now, I'm not able to follow up on this further-- so if you are interested, I pass it back to each one of you to learn about it-- and if it is something that you think may be part of why you are sick-- take it to your MD's.

Sincerely,

Tracie

This is unrelated to sarcoidosis, but I know two people who were affected severely by mold. One was my good friend , who died 12 years ago at the age of 46 from an asthma attack. At the time our clinic was crowded into a small area, with 's desk right next to an old radiator. We had complained about odor from the radiator, with no results. About a year later, another area of the hospital was remodeled for the clinic, and our old area was remodeled for nursing administration. They had the radiator removed & the mainenance guys said it was really nasty inside, with lots of mold & who knows what else. The clinic staff all had a gut feeling that breathing this air every day might have contributed to 's death.

The other person I know worked for the city, in a basement office, for many years. Over the years she had many sinus infections, which responded poorly to antibiotic treatment. Finally, her symptoms became to severe that she was referred to some kind of specialist, who determined that she actually had widespread mold in her sinuses. She had to have extensive surgery, followed by long-term anti-fungal treatment, and was forbidden by her doctor (God bless him!) from ever working in that basement again. That triggered a major cleaning & maintenance effort by the city, probably hoping to avert a lawfuit.

Regarding sinus infections, if you have recurring infections (and you have taken your medication correctly, all of it), you likely have a fungal process going on & need antifungal medication to treat it. I would see an ENT abot this, not just a family practice doc.
