Guest guest
They are fine for us and remember the pneumonia shot should be administered every five years. I think that the vaccinations that are made from dead virus or biological materials that are not alive are just fine for us. When I worked in a physicians office one of my most difficult tasks was trying to explain to patients that when they got flu like symptoms after the shot it was because they really needed it because they did not have antibodies for the particular strain of virus. How I would explain it to people was imagion that you have a young healthy football player type person, he grows to a very old age like110, he gets mugged and beat up very badly and dies. The vaccine makers then take one cell from the dead man's body and break it up into a million pieces and then make the vaccine solution from the fragment of the dead mans part of a cell. When it is injected into your body your body recognizes the vaccine as the young healthy football player that is alive and super healthy. Your body then has a fight with the football player(which really is the dead old man) and forms antibodies to protect you from the disease. I think the ones we should be concerned about are the ones that contain the live virus particles as we are at great risk of contracting the disease they are giving the shot for if we are immunosuppressed. Also our bodies will not make the antibodies because of the immunosuppression. Judy in PA
