Guest guest
Please disregard my spelling error. They gave me fentynl patches when I was in the rehab after my 23 total knee operations. They gave me the patch to try to stop the breakthrough pain I was having. The medicine worked but I was allergic to the glue that held on the patch. my two and one half years in the hospital because of a MRSA infection was a real bad time because I developed so many tape allergies. The skin would be completely destroyed were the tape was. In one of the rehabs they put licquid malox were they were going to put the tape, let it dry then brushed it off. Allegedly the tape is an acid and the malox neutrolizes the acid in the tape, It worked so so for me. Anuway since I had pic line already, they just gave me the fentynl by IV. Its a good drug and is also used during general anesthesia, of course it is a much larger dose.
