Guest guest
OK, let's name a day. It just can't be tomorrow cause we're supposed to get a Nor'easter, and I have to get to the store to get more protein. I know, always an excuse! LOL But, really, I'm game! Is a work day better for you? Like Monday? or is that waiting too long? Maybe we can get some others on board, too. We can call it a cleansing, our pre-Passover & /or Easter ritual. Guest guest
I'm so with you guys. First it was 5 lbs., then a couple of days ago, it jumped up another 5. My jeans are tight, and I feel like crap. It's me, I'm eating like a pig, the weather sucks, I'm over- worked and sleep and sun-deprived, yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm seriously thinking of doing a day of protein detox, yanno, just shakes & water. Can I do it, even for just 1 day? I don't know, but I'm trying to psych myself right now. in NJ *************** > <<I've gained 10 lbs and I'm not sure why!!! >> > > I have also gained 10 lbs since December, but know exactly why. Guest guest
Monday sounds great.....I have a wedding rehearsal and wedding this weekend anyway (your right, always an excuse.) Monday would be awesome, I work at the Y.M.C.A and one of my jobs is giving 20-24 kids their snack as in every Little Debbie and chip thing imaginable......so I do better if I am " proteining " it rather than trying to " limit " ......if that makes any sense. So OK.....who else is game??? P. Re: Re: Hello OK, let's name a day. It just can't be tomorrow cause we're supposed to get a Nor'easter, and I have to get to the store to get more protein. Guest guest
Sounds like a plan to me. ) Also, I always seem to need a couple of days to psych myself, and work days have more of a regular schedule so we can plan each " dose " of protein better, I think, at least for those of us who don't do the 5-6 shakes a day right now. in NJ ************************* In a message dated 4/10/2003 9:45:48 PM Eastern Daylight Time, nanpug@... writes: > Monday sounds great.....I have a wedding rehearsal and wedding this weekend > anyway (your right, always an excuse.) Guest guest
Good Tara, the more, the merrier. Well, let's do one day at a time. We have to do a minimum of 5 shakes Monday, with lots of water or other non-caffenated liquid in between. The water is always the problem for me, so I have to force myself. Also, if you get hungry, have a shake, no matter how many you've already had....how does that sound? Anyone who's already done this, any advice is appreciated. in NJ ******************** In a message dated 4/10/2003 10:50:22 PM Eastern Daylight Time, brzezinski4@... writes: > Ok im game..hehe..whats the game plan what are the rules? Guest guest
I'm a little jealous of the POC. I too have been having a few problems lately and need to get back on track. I gained 17# in 3 days last week! Needless to say I was freaked out. I would love to join you all next week, but I don't do protein drinks - never have. I lost 156# and reached my goal in 12 months, maintained it for the last 6 months, so I feel like I've done okay just focusing on eating my protein first, but lately I've discovered the carb monster and obviously the scale is showing it (unless there's some sort of physical problem that caused the rapid weight gain. Could that be a possibility?). I know there are others on this list who don't do the drinks. What do you all do to get back on track? Guest guest
17# in 3 days sounds a little high. I need to put a disclaimer here, this may have more to do with me then with you. I had congestive heart failure 2 years ago. I was told that if I gained more then a pound a day for 10 days (excluding that time of the month) or gained more then 10 pounds in three days I was to get to my doctor like now. I actually gained 31 lbs in 28 days and later 31 lbs in 5 days. Both times was enough to put me in the hospital. The other thought was about your thyroid, have you had it checked recently?
