Guest guest
It's all good. We need the info shared, and so many people do not know how to research using the medical terminology. Fortunatley, we have a large group of RN's and medical professionals, as well as teachers, and such-- so we use our strengths to help each other. It will be interesting to see if the weather tragedies do play a part in more sarc. I honestly think that what has happened is that it is getting out htere more-- that is MD's are seeing articles in JAMA (Journel of American MEdical Assoc) and NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine) that at least have an occassional article on sarc-- so they are looking at it. When AIDS first was diagnosed, it was spend the research money on sarcoidosis or on AIDS. AIDS won as there seems to be a larger reward for the drug companies on this -- and once again, sarc was thought to be the lesser evil. I'm sure that if we had AIDS-- we'd agree that sarc is the lesser evil... I know that my statement will piss some people off- but sadly, and believe me, ANYONE with any chronic illness is so much in need of competent medical care--- I say that will all my heart-- that we all deserve to find answers. We deserve a quality of life, and not be the expendable patient. Guess triage starts somewhere ... It is now time SARCOIDOSIS GETS SOME SERIOUS ATTENTION!!!!!! Anyhow, that's todays soapbox, I know concede the floor! Blessings, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
