This may be a stupid request, but I am new to all this mito stuff. Could you tell me what CCF stands for? Cleveland?

muscle biopys at CCF- for toddlers too

I just returned from CCF, my 27 month old had a fresh muscle biopsy. I was very impressed with the whole procedure. The pre-op exam w/ a pediatric doctor was very detailed. Reviewed complete med. History, full physical exam . When this was completed the pediatric doctor ( not P.A). printed out the entire history for me to hand carry to the surgical department in the morning as a back up. The surgical dept. had the chart history and this report the next morning, but they wanted to give me a copy to have on hand just in case.

The surgeon ( Dr. ) came in to introduce himself before hand,and checked back after the procedure, and was very nice. The staff was great, my daughter enjoyed a barney video during the preparations and I carried her into the operating room and held her while she was put under via gas. Her post op recovery was easy , and they were attentive. She was gagging and vomiting so they treated her with anti-nausea meds.

Overall I thought it was a positive experience , well organized and well-run. I was especially pleased there was so much attention paid to the pre-op preparation as she had been ill recently and I would not have wanted to take any chances. I would highly recommend Cleveland.
