Hi Sally -

Those are some important factors to consider...But, to me, the most important factor in deciding (and waiting longer for the DS) is the quality of life. This is something that I will have to live with FOREVER! Although I am not a patient person, something's are worth the wait and I firmly believe, for me, that this surgery is worth the wait. I, like you, can have the RNY surgery in Aug but now must wait until the last week in Aug 29 for an initial consult for the DS surgery -- and the entire pre-approval circus.

Sally, This is a life altering decision, so make SURE it is what YOU want. If

you've been battling the bulge this long, what's a couple of more months!

I wish that we could all get together and make a list of pros and cons of each surgery. We would also need to get the results,mabey send out a list of questions and see what results people are unhappy or happy with. It would be great to see what the results are.
