Hap anyone every had their eyes become inflamed when in certain types of light? My chuch has a type of lighting that drives my eyes crazy. Sitting in the back with sun glassed on seems to be the only thing that helps but Imiss out on so much of the service. I just wondered if anyone else has had that problem... Guest guest
Yes, My husband gets migraines when he is under flourescent lights, especially if they are flickering. The problem is that with the chronic inflammation and dry eyes, that we get-- and the chronic iritis or uveitis or optic neuritis-- the iris of the eyes can not open and close correctly. so, if we're in variable lighting- say with sunlight coming thru stained glass windows, ceiling fans, then overhead lighting-- it's very possible that this is being aggravated. Also, if those around you are wearing their best perfumes-- (we can't smell it thank goodness) but it still gets us. Before I lost all my sense of smell, I couldn't even sit in the pews with the rest of the folks-- I sat on the side of the church, or in the alcove- so that I could still be there--and still breath. Soap and candle shops are horrible, for the same reasons. Ruth, I know you have years of experience with this-- but get those eyes rechecked-- you may have a flare developing. Guest guest
YES!! Lots of types of florescent lighting hurt my eyes, and bright sunlight. I have a tint on my eyeglasses and " fitovers " , those heavy-duty sunglasses which fit over my eyeglasses. Dry eyes can also increase light senstivity, so using eyedrops during the day and eye ointment at night may help. I use Refresh Liquigel. My neurologist said to stay away from Murine products. Hope this helps. - > > You all know I have been experiencing troubles with my eyes. Hap > anyone every had their eyes become inflamed when in certain types of > light?
