My son is 5 1/2 and has had problems since birth. We received the mito diagnosis a year and a half ago. He is great and specializes in mitochondrial disorders. The phone number is . That is 's phone number, she does the scheduling. If you are looking for a neurologist, we see Dr. Ritter at Minnesota Epilepsy Group. He is the one that actually diagnosed our twin daughters within three days of being in the epilepsy unit. He has at least one other mito family that I know of that he takes care of. The phone number there is . If you get a chance, please tell us about your daughter. We live in Des Moines, Iowa and see him regularly. Mayo is a great place to go for all around medical care for Mito and possible Mito kids/adults. Not sure if he can take new patients, but it is worth the try. Call or I too have a four year old affected by Mito. Her name is Asenath. My 1 year old daughter, yesterday , also has Mito.
