Guest guest
Okay, okay. You've freed me to ask the question that has been burning in my brain 4 days pre-op! I want to treat myself to a manicure & pedicure but they'll look at me if I'm crazy if I ask for no polish (because of surgery). Can I have surgery with clear polish on my nail? How's that for earth-shattering concerns? But anything that'll get me through the anxiety (especially since I have'nt heard from BC yet) has got to be tried, right? Guest guest
Marcia, ask your doc or his nurse about this.....some docs dont require you to remove the polish nor the fake nails as they put this monitor on your finger instead which measures temp and oxygen levels. (or they might ask you to just remove the polish or fake nail of ONE nail) When I had my gall bladder removed 11 yrs ago I didnt have to remove anything. I didnt have to remove any nail polish when I had my DS either! It just depends on the doc..... Guest guest
Thanks, Judie, for the reply. Jane, one of Dr. Ren's post-ops said I can get away with clear polish, so that's what I'm doing first thing tomorrow. I'm already packed for Friday 'cause I GOT MY APPROVAL!!!! sEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE.
