Guest guest
Has anyone heard of using hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for sarc? A family member indicated that they were told that the University of Calgary Medical Center in Canada has a `cure' for sarc. OK, I don't know about cure but perhaps a treatment. I know my family means well, but I haven't heard or read anything on HRT for sarc. An internet search didn't turn up anything of value. I did find research at the University involving the use of prolactin to simulate pregnancy on MS patients. Research has shown that pregnant women with MS often go into remission during pregnancy and that prolactin assists in regeneration of the myelin sheath. However, this specific therapy would be contraindicated for sarc as prolactin stimulates the absorption of Vitamin D. Peace, Tony
