Our granddaughter will be starting a regime of 218 mg/day CoQ10,

4,360 mg/day Carnitine, and a B-complex this week. Please share any

experience with these. Doctor hasn't specified but I wonder if we

should begin with one and introduce others a week or so later? Or

start with small dose and increase? Did your experience include any

adverse affects? We are really nervous. Thank you.

I know we were instructed to start one at a time to see if Leah would have a

reaction and plus for her stomach to handle it all. We did one a week until

we had added everthing she takes now together. And you might want to start

out with a smaller dose. But that is what we did. Not sure what others were

instructed to do.

That strategy makes perfect sense to me. Thank you. Even though these are vegetable-based vitamins and supplements, there is no guarantee that they will be ingested and absorbed smoothly. And with the high doses, our Nikki will have to be taking 12-15 pills a day...and this is a kid who hates to take a Tylenol even for pain. Good luck to us! We are hoping that these can be called in as prescriptions and thus be covered somewhat under insurance.
