Guest guest
What's your recipe?Yesterday I was hungry and didn't know what to have, so I took a chicken breast, cut it up into chunks, and cooked it in a pan with some coconut oil. While it was cooking I sort of chopped it up with the spatula so it was shredded, and then I added just about every spice in my cabinet, literally (but not too much of anything). Celery salt, paprika, thyme, basil, rosemary, parsley, ground mustard, cumin, nutmeg, cloves, and....that might be it. As you can see, I was feeling awfully creative =) But as long as you don't add too much of anything, they all seemed to taste good together! I added most of celery salt, thyme, and basil I think. Anyways... there's my most recent quick and easy thing! Peace =)Alyssa 15 yoUC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)No meds! Guest guest
A really quick and easy side dish (made it tonight) when you're short on time: Saute zuchini (I usually use a peeler to make "noodles" but you can just chop them too). Add salt & pepper. After a few minutes, add tomato sauce (legal/homemade of course), and then melt in some cheese. Very quick and very yummy! Also - DH's favorite snack - apples with peanut butter. I thought this would be a good idea since i'm sure people get into a rut eating the same things day in and day out because you get into a "groove" making the same thing that you know you like and it's easy. I know I do! Anyway, here's mine. i've had it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, anytime! I make the sandwhich rolls from BTVC book recipe. and cut them in half so I can make a sandwhich I fry some eggs... usually 2 or 3 per sandwhich, you can make them any way you like, but I like them over easy with a slightly juicy yolk... yum I put butter, salt, and pepper on them. Put the fried eggs on one half of your sandwhich bread. Then, I get some sliced chedder cheese (mild or sharp depending on your preference) and put that on top of the hot eggs to melt. I put a spoonful of organic salsa on the other half of the bread and close up the sandwhich. quick, easy, tasty, and filling.
