It takes steam distilled water to make colloidal silver. And some colloidal

silver generators can be quite inexpensive or expensive depending on what

you want. Pure silver ingots can be used to make the cs. I have been using

my $10 strip of pure silver for 18 months and there is still a lot longer to

go on it. While colloidal silver can be expensive to buy once you have your

own generator it just costs pennies. I am distilling water right now to

make some cs for a friend who just found out that he is HIV. If the CS and

the MSM work well enough for his immune system, he may not have to take

those meds that really make a person sick and weak.

They do not 'cure' it but do strengthen the body's systems as long as they

are used, at least that is what I have been told by some who are using it.

Hi Ann :-)

I've heard of colloidal silver...in fact, when I first got sick 5

years ago (and certainly before my diagnosis) my sis-in-law gave me a

bottle of it. She told me how wonderful it was, etc....but at the

same time my doctors kept asking me if I had been exposed to any

heavy metals, so with silver being a metal (heavy or not, I don't

know) I wasn't about to take it but thanked her anyway. :-)

Since then I've heard and read more about it....it's been used as an

antibiotic for many years. I've also heard of one bad side effect.

There is a small chance that people who consume silver (colloidal or

not) will get a PERMANENT gray tinge or stain to their skin. That

pretty much scared me away although I do know a lady, whose opinion I

highly value, who uses it and recommends it. Still, I'll take my

Minocin and Biaxin antibiotics, even with their drawbacks (yeast

infections, possible resistance) I think I'm far better off.

So......I guess there are people who really think it's wonderful and

others who are skeptical.

Here's a part of a web site at:

what you find out and take care, Connie H

" Precautions

The deposition of silver under the skin can cause a condition called

argyria. This condition is not common, but the skin of those who are

affected is permanently stained a blue or gray color. The type of

silver compound, length of treatment, concentration, and total dose

required to cause argyria is a matter of some debate. There seems to

be a great individual variation in susceptibility. Proponents claim

that the true colloidal form of silver cannot cause the condition,

but for safety purposes, all silver consumed should be considered a

potential contributor to argyria. Some colloidal silver products

include this warning on the label.

Extremely large doses of silver, much beyond what is recommended by

proponents for therapeutic use, may cause neurologic signs or organ

damage. Most of the studies of toxicity have been performed using

salts of silver, such as silver nitrate, which have a higher silver

concentration and greater toxicity than colloidal forms. The latter

are generally in the range of 5-10 parts per million (PPM), which is

equal to a 0.0005-0.001% solution. "

Hi,

I'm not n, but we have used the brand Sovereign Silver for years and it is great! I buy it at Fruitful Yield (I don't know if you have that store close to you). Colloidal silver is awesome!!

> Any suggestions on the brands of colloidal silver? I need some  > myself.Thank you!>> I just ordered some (along with two herbal mixtures for two of my cats -- one for urinary tract problems, the other for pancreatitis) via localharvest.org, which is an interesting and very usable site that markets stuff from a number of different vendors, with emphasis on organic and local farm-produced stuff. From within that site I ordered from Amazing Grace Herbals run by Sharon Hubbs-Kreft. I'm very happy with both the quality of the colloidal silver and the two cat preparations. Hubbs-Kreft is herself a Certified Natural Health Consultant & Certified Herbalist. She includes sheets (literally) of information on whatever you order, how it works, how it was prepared (and ingredients), how to use it, etc. I'm using the colloidal silver for an ear and sinus problem that I've had pretty much since the summer. It almost immediately began to drain my sinuses yesterday and my ear already feels somewhat better. The link to Amazing Grace Herbals is: http://www.localharvest.org/search.jsp?m & ty=-1 & nm=colloidal%20silverIncidentally, there are also some good honey producers at this site, among many other things. And there's a map of the continent which shows you the source of all these products, and whether/where you can buy them in person, depending on where you live.  n
