Guest guest
Hi Cindy, Yes, our daughter is cardiac paced bacause of Primary Bradycardia. She frequently had heart rates down into the teens and pulled her oxygen saturations way down with the heart rate drops. Her first cardiac pacemaker was implanted when she was three. The generator was replaced about five years ago. Her current generator has about 5 years of power supply remaining. We are currently evaluating one of the two pacing wires for fraying. Since that wire has been acting up we are again seeing heart rate drops below 40. IT did take several months before our case managing physician (an Intensivist) talked cardiology into placing her first pacemaker. He is now discussing replacment of the frayed wore with them. It helped to have a physician advocating on her behalf. Joanne Kocourek
