Well, Piss - that's exactly what Niccole told me when I went for my three

month postop visit. She said if my calcium. was low (I didn't have the tests

OOPS - damn thing got sent prematurely on accident. I got a cool new ibook

(laptop) and it's even hooked up wirelessly (can surf in bed without any

cables, etc. - way cool). BUT, the keyboard takes some getting used to!

I've sent a few e-mails off before they were finished.

Niccole mentioned the same thing at my three month post-op: She suspected

that my PTH would be low and to take the damn citrate horse pills three times

a day. NOWAY, man! I'm going to look into the liquid calcium... or, perhaps

switch back to the caltrate???? I like the advantage of only taking calcium

twice a day (in the eves when it's best absorbed) so I can have coffee, etc.

in the a.m.... then, I'm not worrying about the calcium not getting absorbed

properly, etc.

Now, I have been taking the late evening calcium with the chromagen forte

iron pills -- Niccole said that the citrate doesn't bind in the same way to

the iron and could be taken with it. I wonder if it isn't binding with it

and not as effective for some reason?

Also, the fact that citrates are not chewaBLE -- perhaps they are not being

broken down as efficiently? I've heard that Twinlabs does have a chewable

citrate... maybe I'll look into that. It may take some research or ordering

online but the chewables may JUST be much better in terms of maximum

absorption?

I'm also looking into that liquid calcium... I think Niccole wrote the name

down for me... I jsut have to find that info. I'll be sure to post when I

find it!

All the best,

,

I was wondering what I missed!!! I almost privately emailed you and

asked if all was ok with that 100+ pds in one month!!! You are doing

great and will definitely reach your goal, maybe a little slower but

as Jess would say, " Slow and steady wins the race like the tortoise "

(her new favorite fable)! And you know that " slow " here is definitely

" relative " !!

I am too excited looking forward to my switch on Monday. I am so

paranoid that this is not going to go off. First the tooth scare, now

something else. 's Law is my best friend. On my way to work

this morning my car started shimmying, shaking, lurching, dead. Less

than 2 yrs old! I am going to have to seriously think about getting

rid of it!

I was going to drop Jess off at the corporate child care center but

forget about bringing the vehicle into Manhattan (the towing from NYC

would be equivalent to a mortgage payment I am sure!). So, into the

shop we went. They are talking transmission (I am hoping timing belt

maybe?!).

I have to hook up a rental car for the next 5 days and figure out how

to return it on Staten Island, Monday morning before my surgery in

Manhattan!! What a mess!

My job is going to be MORE than annoyed about today's loss of a work

day as I have SOO much to do before the week's end. Looks like I

will be going in on Friday morning about 7am to finish up some things

before I am off to my pre-op tests uptown at the hospital.

I just want this to be behind me (and move on to losing the actually

rear end that drags behind me!). My co-workers have remarked that

they have never seen anyone so damn excited about major surgery before

- they have no clue how excited I really am!

Oh and in my first weeks of the liquid Prozac I was taking 1 teaspoon

instead of 1 tablespoon every day - genius that I am! And I wondered

why I was feeling off!! Duh! This is only going to get more and more

interesting but I am confident eventually I will get the hang of the

regimen (sort of like riding a bike or maybe shifting the gears on a

clutch - unfortunately years of driving an automatic has me spoiled -

but hopefully has not rendered me completely stupid..lol).

Luck and hugs to you with your steady downward #s!

Well, I think I am really wanting to get down to a 'normal size' so

much that I'm telling people I'm 151 lbs!

> Not true! LOL I meant to say 251! Now, I'm averaging around 253,

hoping to go down yet again (but only to 170, thank you -- I'd be

totally anorexic at 151 for my height - almost 5'10 " )!
