Guest guest
Hi Kay, I'm Meli, and I too had a failed stomach stapling. I'm getting a revision to the DS in one week (yikes!!). I researched WLS surgery for almost two years, because, like you I am so affraid of another failure. The DS has the best long term weight loss of all GB, that was important to me. There are many surgeons who specialize in revisions, my own Dr Hess, Dr Gagner in New York, Dr Maguire in Ohio, plus others. Our previous surgeries make us mor complicated cases, and there is some argument that we may lose less or more slowly than WLS " virgins " . Go to the www.duodenalswitch.com website and look at R's profile, she is a revision and very slim now. Research carefully, also go over to the OSSG DS_Revision list for more info. Good luck Meli BMI 47 Dr Hess June 21,01 Summer Solstice -- - In duodenalswitch@y..., " kay kake " wrote: >

Guest guest
Hi Kay, I am a pre-op but I still wanted to say that I truly admire that you have not given up! I hope that should you get the DS that it will be very successful and have great results! a BMI 36 Pre-op can anyone help??? Hi...my name is Kay I have had my stomach stapled years ago ,and it was very succesful for about 10 years, after that I gained most of the weight back, then I had the lapband put on and it wasnt succesful at all really due to old scar tissue from the previous operation , now the Dr has suggested getting the bypass (switch ) op done, I am worried that this too will be unsuccesful and be a very major op for nothing, does anyone out there know of anyone else that has had similar circumstances to mine , and know if the bypass op works after the other two have failed? can anyone help?.....any input at all would be a help......thanks Kay Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
