Silence of My Little Lamb

Looking deep into your eyes,

I try to reach where your silence lies.

All the fear those eyes have seen

cannot understand what all this means.

My heart breaks for you to speak

But only the answer you can seek.

A world of silence you've chosen to live,

a world of happiness I want to give.

Help me my child in what you need,

Show me where I need to lead.

This world outside is a great big place,

But you've chosen to live in a small dark space.

The words we know you have down deep,

we long to hear even one small peep.

I need for you to reach for me,

I promise mommy will help you see.

So try my child to find your voice

So we can all begin to rejoice!
