Guest guest
Yep, I sure hear ya! When I mentioned WLS to my PCP he started telling me how it is a " tragedy " for people to do that to themselves...well, time to change PCPs!!! If a person has done the research, I believe that it is OUR BODY and OUR DECISION what treatment we seek. I'm the one who has been on all the diets, the one who has trouble keeping my behind clean!! I'm the one who suffers all the pains and has to come up with all the money for the pills to treat the pain. How much research has these doctors with all their " high and mighty " ideas done on the new methods of WLS....something like NONE maybe?? At least they could take the time to research and talk to some of the doctors and WLS patients who KNOW what they are talking about!! Sorry, I just get alittle worked up!! Hugs, Jerry. Guest guest
Jerry-- Thank you. You are preaching to the choir here. I don't notice any of my stable of (high priced) specialists hurting when I do...they just say " hmmm " and write out another script. At least I have a very good pcp who is supportive and is being very helpful with the before stuff...as well as helping me arrange for aftercare ( I am also the primary care giver for my mother - heart problems, etc).
