Guest guest
Hi, I have mito as do my three kids. We all are immunedeficient. My kids all three, have ports and take IVIG's every two weeks. I love the ports although I wont lie, we have had our share of infections. In one statement Dr. Cohen said that his mito kids are more prone to central line infections than regular kids. Not sure why. Overall I love the ports and wouldnt do it any other way. My kids said they would never let the doctors take their ports away. I was tested when I was pregnant for the MMR antibody and was negative even though I had had all the shots. After the pregnancy they revaccinated me, the next pregnancy I was still negative for antibodies, After that pregnancy I had another booster, finally I came up positive. took many shots to get there. I am glad I have the antibodies now I dont need any other problems... Hope things go well for you, any questions feel free to ask S.
Guest guest
This issue really interests me as I have heard during several of my pregnancies that I needed to get another MMR but I knew I had them as a child so did not get another one. One pregnancy I was told I was borderline, but several I was not protected against MMR they said.
