Tom..

I see both sides of the coin.. You're a real good man to be willing to

say what you did.

Me, however.. I read the intra-operative reports (on Deb's surgery)...

and my opinion remains unchanged... And I'm not apologetic for feeling

that way at all.

You're a gem, Tom.

Hugs,

Liane

Correcting Myself

Hi all:

In an earlier post, I said:

> I don't really mean to be negative about newer surgeons,

Another list member has pointed out to me that this statement can be

construed as my placing blame on Dr. Ren for what happened to Deb. I

didn't mean to give this impression, and I apologize if my meaning

was not clear. I was trying to concretize a general opinion by

tossing out an example with which I figured most people would be at

least somewhat familiar. I probably should have stuck to my general

point.

So, to clear things up...

As a FACTUAL MATTER, I don't claim that Dr. Ren is responsible for

what happened to Deb. Furthermore, I'm sure that Dr. Ren did

everything in her power to salvage the situation when it occured. I

doubt that any of us will EVER know exactly what happened that day.

As a matter of OPINION, however, I still think that, IN GENERAL, a

more experienced surgeon has a better chance of fixing a problem that

occurs in the O.R. than does a less experienced surgeon.

PLEASE NOTE: This latter statement is my OPINION, and NOTHING MORE.

I claim no factual or scientific basis for it. It's just what I, an

uneducated layperson, think.

Tom
