Guest guest
I am so happy that this pregnancy is going well for you. I think it is normal for anyone, even non WLS people because if the naseau and stuff in the first trimester. I never gained until the 4th month and then packed on 24 pounds right off....You will probably gain too. Just keep eating healthy, try to stay away from the junk, it's very hard... Guest guest
Hi Trish, I've lost weight also....I'm actually now much farther than you and started my pregnancy at 192 lbs and now am looming around 185-189. This at 28 weeks (7 months). So not to worry. If you are eatting as much as you say AND you are eatting what you know you should..plus taking those vitamins then I think you are doing just fine. They tell me this little boy is in the 50th percentile for size...so I figure he's taking what he needs from me regardless of my weight loss...and my weight stand stills. Wishing you luck. Congrats on making it this far. Look forward to hearing your updates as you get farther along! Sydney (mom to Cory 11, 7 and n 5 with Baby Caedan due July 10th, 2004. GBS..open RNY May 30th, 2004. Guest guest
Hey Sydney! Oh.. that makes me feel better! I am so glad that your pregnancy is going so great! That's wonderful! So you're due in July! Good month.. I have several friends that were born in July and all of them are just wonderful people! It does make me feel better, so thank you! My doc gave me the chewable prenatals, and I am on Crinone progesterone support - at least for a couple more weeks. Guest guest
Congrats on the double digits!! As for the weight loss, up to my 22 week check up I had lost 12lbs. At my 22 week checkup, I had gained 5lbs. (my scale at home says I am maintaining at 12lbs lost, but who knows) My doc says my baby is growing just fine and is measuring in the 55% tile. She also said that weight gain is not the only thing they look at for growth, they look at the size of the uterus. Like it has been said over and over, every woman is different. Good luck!! Guest guest
, I didn't gain any weight at all until around 30 weeks. Then I'd gain a pound and lose 2. Lose 4, and gain 1. In my last 3 weeks, I gained 5# one week and 4 the next for a total of 18#. My dr did 3 US in early preg to watch growth and development and the only other thing he did was measure my uterus (which is a reliable indicator of the baby's growth) which was always on track with my gestation. So for 30 weeks, I didn't gain anything. I didn't have MS and ate fairly well, but no weight gain, but my OB wasn't worried.
Guest guest
Sounds like you are having a very good pregnancy. I am lucky that I have not had any swelling yet and I usually do have alot of it by now. I did gain more than I watned to and I was not at goal yet so I still have a lot to lose after my baby comes out to. good Luck, your little sweetie will be here soon. Guest guest
Ann where is MS are you? Can you come to Memphis? The metabolicist here is whack but I recently started seeing a geneticist in the same clinic for Gaige's cafe_au-lait marks (remember he and are adopted and not related) and she has been very interested in Mito. IN fact she borrowed my UMDF training materials and I loaned her shoffners report and some of his medical stuff. She is very open and I think would be my choice here if I knew anyone who needed a genecist for Mito. There are tons of kids (with other diseases/issues) who come to LeBonheur hospital from Mississppi so maybe you could do that? I have a great GI doc...we had a great cardiologist but he died recently in a car accident. I might have some other doc referrals. Shoffner is the guy at Horizon...he's fab! He almost always will either give you a mito diagnosis (because he wont take the case if he doesn't think it might be mito) or find what is going on. Its great your doc is planning to send you there! If you want to call me or me call you (I have free long distance) just email me off list with your number and a good time to call... deb...mom to three great kids and wife to one amazing guy!http://www.lifeofloveproject.org/http://www.heartliftersgallery.com/ Crazy Lizzies!!
