Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just spoke to and barely 24 hours after surgery she *sounds* great! I guess she feels pretty miserable, though, as the rest of you post-ops are well aware... She had a leak test during her surgery and then they took her earlier today for another leak test. As far as she knows, she " passed " the leak test, but they did do a second xray on her because they said things seemed to be " moving slow " . She said the Morphine was not killing enough pain so they have added Torodol. The catheter came out a little while ago and she has been up and walking just a bit. She said standing makes her feel really nauseous. Guess there was a little trouble getting her to wake up last night in recovery. They said she must have had too much anesthesia. But that is *behind her* now and she can focus on healing now that she is on the OTHER SIDE! She has not had the hired companions, but has said that so far she has not had any real sense of " desertion " in terms of nursing staff; they have been responsive when she pushed the buzzer. She is on 9 East, Room 301, Bed A. Phone is . I will post more the next time I talk to her. In the mean time, keep sending her your prayers and healing thoughts. She still has a long rough road ahead of her. Thank you, Terri Hassiak BMI 60 http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=H980366398 Appealed " Out-of-Network " Ins. Denial - AND WON!!!
