is right about this one thing. You should think twice about getting the surgery. In fact you should think at least 3 or 4 times about it. It is not something taken lightly. This will change your life forever. You eating habits will change and you will have to take supplements for the rest of your life. Also there is no quarrentee that you will lose all the weight you want an keep it off. I think the average weight lose is 70-80 percent of the excess weight and someone quoted a study recently that about 70 percent keep the weight off.

For me it was a last resort. I've been overweight for most of my life. I was just a moment away from becoming one of those people you see on the news that have to be taken out of their home with a fork-lift.

You need to be very sure about the decision to get the operation. Dr. Gagner is one of the best in lap. But I do think that I choose the best for me, Dr. Macura of Staten Island and an open.
