Guest guest
Hi, everyone - just an addendum to Ogretta's previous e-mail: Terry is 'switched' and doing fabu! :) I called her this morning and she said she is feeling fine except for some residual nausea and soreness. She had the intestinal part of the DS performed yesterday morning (she already had the stomach reduction about 6 months ago). She isn't even needing her morphine pump but says she has some kind of pain control patch on her abdomen (sounds really cool -- I haven't heard of it before -- maybe it's some new form of pain relief they are trying out?). Her bed is stuck in a high position, making it difficult for her to get in and out and get into a comfortable prone position (a work order has already been put in, but jeesh! LOL). Dr. Gagner will be on vacation for the next three days so Dr. Herron will be her attending surgeon for follow up. She said he expects she will be discharged on Friday!! So far, so good! Here is Terry's number if anyone would like to call: I'm not sure what room she's in, but I know she's on 10E. The general information number for Mt. Sinai is: all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 five months post-op and still feelin' fab! pre-op: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: 241 lbs/bmi
