Hey, welcome to postop life! I'm really glad it went so easily and

that you didn't have any bladder problems.

My favorite pieces of advice to postops:

1.

Don't expect to get all that protein, water, and all those supplements

into your little pouch right away. Take it slow, and don't

worry...takes a few months to get it all down; you'll get there.

2.

If you really want to stay out of trouble, don't experiment with

desserts and carbs. DON'T experiment with your favorite downfall

foods. Not even a little. Just don't do it.

3.

Appreciate this phase of your evolution! If you find yourself wanting

to " Be there " , or comparing your weight loss to that of someone else,

try to come back to this moment and your body's inherent wisdom. This

is a precious time that you'll never experience again. Take your

measurements, and take lots of pictures!

4.

You'll keep changing every week until you're about 18 months out, so

don't lose hope or think " this is who I am now " . Foods you can't eat

this week will be fine next week; problems that bother you now will

resolve. Ride with the changes.

5.

Stick with the structure and rules that you've been taught, and try to

be as conscientious/strict as possible, for this first year. You'll

have plenty of time to bend the rules later, when you're healed.

Later...

Martha
