Guest guest
***Interesting note*** Recently i watched a show on the morbidly obese. During the show one man repeatedly told the doctors he was in extreme pain...way beyond what being obese should be causing. The doctors finally gave in to his 'demands' and took him to have some further tests. (Isn't it sad we have to demand tests???...) The doctors were very surprised at his results. It turned out that he had Rickets because of spending so little time outdoors because of his weight. Rickets can cause extreme pain. They gave him some supplements and like magic he began to feel better. They said that this is happening more because there are alot of morbidly obese people who don't spend any time outdoors. I would say that this could also be a problem for the chronically ill, too, and that a small amount of sun each day may also be helpful unless you are high in your counts of D. It could be used for pain control and depression if taken in careful amounts. ...this is just my opinion. I am not talking about spending massive amounts of time in the sun. Too much sun is contraindicated with some medications. It just doesn't mix. Something to talk with your doc about. hugs S. Got a little couch potato? Check out fun summer activities for kids.
