Guest guest
I'm just getting to the list mail. (Worked at the bookstore yesterday, then HAD to go do my water therapy! Then fell over early.) Yes, there IS hope. Read her the part from BTVC about Elaine's daughter -- at eight, they were talking about removing her colon! She's intact, today, more than 40 years later! Also, my mentor, when diagnosed, was told, via colonoscopy, that her gut looked like bloody lace. Her doc was all for immediate surgery. 14 months of FANATICAL ADHERENCE to SCD, and her doc said her would not have believed she was the same patient, as all the lesions were healed. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Dear Friends on this group, I wrote this on Monday (I think), and I wanted to give you the update we had all hoped for. Today is day 4 on the diet, and she is seeing improvement, thank God!! Although she still has D, the stool frequency has decreased from 6-8/night to only once last night. She can get some much-needed sleep now. Her family says she has more color in her face, and she says her pain has lessened. We are so happy! My cousin and I used to spend a lot of time together when the children were younger, and we miss that. Now, we are planning a cooking day where we will get together and cook SCD foods. Doesn't that sound like fun?! Thank you for all your knowledge and helpfulness! Husband UC SCD 10/

Guest guest
Today is day 4 on the diet, and she is seeing improvement, thank God!Oh yay! I'm so happy for you, and for her. It would be tragic to have to loose your colon if there's something you can do about it. I'm praying that you keep seeing improvement!
