Guest guest
Yeah, my BP has been up since on high doses of steroids. My doctors told me to get a home blood pressure machine, which I use regularly. They have had to put me on a mild medication to help control the BP. It's a real risk. It's too bad some doctors treat young patients as if they are unharmable. Meds are helpful but dangerous. We have been struggling to get off steroids for at least 3 years now. They think the steroids are hurting me more than the NS. But what can you do? It's a balancing act for sure. > > > > Just wanted to share something with everyone, I have a neighbor who has MS > she is young and had a stroke about 3 weeks ago, I visited with her today > and she is doing remarkable considering, I asked what they think caused the > stroke and she told me that she had just come off a 5 day IV steroids, she > had a " migraine " headache so went to the ER, her BP was up, they treated the > " headache " and sent her home that am she had the stroke because of her > increased BP.
