hi all. I have a CPAP and have for a while. It is set

on 11. Lately, the past couple months, I am drowsy

like crazy during the day, yawning all the time. I am

trying to get more sleep than I normally do (which

isn't enough ) but I still am more tired. Also, I

have started jerking, etc, at night, which I think I

did before I got the CPAP. And, I wake up in the night

with my hands *asleep* and have to shake and slap them

to get them to un-numb. I made an appt with the

pulmonary guy but it's two weeks away.

I am wondering what's up. Do you build up a tolerance

to the machine and need it reset? Do you *learn* to

breathe more shallowly because it's doing some of the

work for you? Does anyone know of any groups or sites

that talk about CPAP problems??

I am still fighting for my surgery and definitely

don't want any breathing issues to interfere once I

finally get my insurance approval.

thanks

becki
