Guest guest
UGH!!! So technically, I wasn't 100% on SCD until a couple weeks ago since I was using flax seed. But it took me a good couple months to get to that point and then finally eliminate the flax. Then I was 100% and feeling good. Well, I did some Christmas baking and made some cookies for my co-workers. I had done this in the past without cheating, so I thought I would be OK. Well, I caved and had some cookies. And then I got back on the diet for a day then off then on. And now I am kicking myself, because I know I'm addicted to sugar and it's going to be a huge struggle to get detoxed from all that. Here is a strange thing that happened though even before I cheated. A week ago, I woke up with a fever ranging from 99- 101. It lasted a day, and it was the only odd symptom I had. The night before I had some peanut butter mixed with some SCD yogurt- it was a big helping. Then, two nights ago, I had the same thing, some peanut butter mixed with SCD yogurt and the next day I woke up with a fever that lasted all day same range. Could it be peanut butter or the yogurt that is causing this? I know both are legal, but I also know some people are sensitive to legals. Do food intolerances cause fevers? Also, can I please have some words of encouragement to get back on the diet. I feel like a total failure and I can't believe even with how sick I was before that I would jeopardize my health by eating junk. I guess it just goes to show how addictions can really kill you. I'm such a carb and sugar addict. I'm just having a hard time knowing what to eat anymore since I'm trying (or was, before I cheated) to go low carb SCD, and since now I think I need to stay away from nuts, nothing really sounds that good to eat. Sorry to complain, just needed to vent. Has anyone else cheated big time before, and if so, how did you get back on track?
