referral info on Dr. Haas for a 3 year old newbie

Hi everyone, I have a friend with a 3 year old, getting nowhere here in Az...A local geneticist has mentioned mitochondrial, but she has not been able to progress to testing or to some experienced physicians..

She is really trying hard to find resources, but is still learning. I think she should go to UCSD to see Dr. Haas. Any suggestions, comments or specifics on who to contact and how to get the ball rolling...Symptoms include failure to thrive, gi problems, muscle weakness, eye movement issues etc. etc...
