When we first talked about the MTX she was worried

as i have had several high liver tests and we dont know why exactly,

so she said at that time if the MTX causes the liver tests to go back

up weed switch to injected MTX, now she wants to decrease from six

tabs to five per week and add a new med, HUH????

The injectible is a good way to go, and 15mg a week is all that we respond to anyway, any more doesn't seem to change the effectiveness.

Adding Imuran or Cellcept or Remicade or Enbrel or Humira-- may give you a longer period of time without the trembles. Our livers are effected in 80% of us, so it is probably the sarc that is raising the liver issues. START USING MILKTHISTLE TABLETS AND TEA TO DETOX YOUR LIVER!! There are actually studies that show that this can help with cirrhosis, with liver cancer, and with Hepatitis-- and it has no side effects!!!!!!

Many patients on chemo for Hep C and cancer are given this to keep the liver functioning!

For me, my liver functions where high across the board, until I got onto the Remicade-- then after the 6th infusion, they've all dropped back into line! I am religious about using the Milk Thistle also.

Stu, this is going to take a customized "cocktail" of meds to control all that you have going on-- and it will be a matter of adding one med, seeing what happens, and trial and error!

Good thing we hate the rats, but we need to embrace our guinea pigs!

With compassion,

Tracie
