Guest guest
Lynne, It sounds like you need another doctor not an explanation for him, he is a professional who should listen to you and try to understand and what he does not understand he should research. I am assuming he has sent you for tests? I am new to Neurosarcoids and learning, one thing I have learned is doctors don't really know that much about the disease yet and everyone one of us has it in a different way than the other. I have a disc problem as well but it's the neurosarcoidois that is effecting my spinal cord and causing the disc to make my legs and back hurt (so I am led to believe). See a Neurologist and a Rheumatologist, have them explain it to your doctor. Hope you get the help you need. regards, Rickchildren8_2000 wrote: I am really getting tired of trying to explain the pain that I am having in my legs, and my body overall. I do have a bulging disc in my lower back, and fibro, and rls, but also I seem tohave that overall pain in my legs a lot. My Dr. doesn't seem to believe me and yells at me for taking so much advil. can I please have the explanation in laymans terms of how to explain to my dr as to WHY my legs hurt so much? And also the overall pain that I am feeling everyday. Thank you so much.Lynne Sick sense of humor? Visit Yahoo! TV's Comedy with an Edge to see what's on, when. Guest guest
Rick, Thank you so much for your reply, but I have seen thoes dr's and yet my primary dr thinks that I have an addiction to vicodin, but yet yells at me for taking so many advil for pain. There are days that I will take 6 vicodin in a 24 hour period, and then there are days that I will need only one. I don't have an addiction but a dependency on them, as I need to function. I have also noticed that if I have taken vicodin during the day, then I won't need my restless leg syndrome medicine. Not sure why, I did go to a pain specialist, didn't get much from him, but he did do an mri on my chest abdomen and spine, and he found that I have 2 bulging discs. So that explains why my lower back kills so much. I am going to make an appt. with aback dr next to see if he can fix it. Wish me luck. Guest guest
Rick, I've been off more than on lately, so haven't really gotten to know you. But I'm impressed with your answer to Lynne; I appreciate your contributions to the group.
