Guest guest
I'm not sure if it's more likely from the prednisone or the sarc. Last week I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy, and at first I thought it was a post sedative thing, but it's not going away. My hands and feet feel weird, something close to itchy but not quite, and the sensation creeps up my arms and legs. Both arms and legs feel heavy. There's some tingling, no numbness but a decrease in sensation, and sort of a cold feeling. Like there's a cold draft hitting me. Or like I'm about to get goose bumps. And my legs feel like they're being squeezed. It's not painful, but not pleasant, either. This sounds like the hypersensitivity that can come with high-dose prednisone. I know for me, it was like all my nerve ends were on fire. You can also develop small nerve fibre neuropathy, which does exactly what you describe. Many of us have used Neurontin for that issue. I found that when I was on pred- that even the air touching my skin was painful. You might also want to monitor what and how much in the way of fluids you're drinking (See Talk to the doc post) as you may be slightly dehydrated. Welcome to the family, we're almost 500 members strong, with a wealth of info-- so don't be shy! No question to dumb to ask (of course, you might get a dumb answer, but that would come from someone else..lol!) but at least you'd get a response.
