Guest guest
I'd like to share my experience.Years ago I had seven stomach ulcers which led to a major GI Bleed. I scheduled an appointment with one of my doctor's partners because I wanted to go on medical leave because I felt so very sick. During this visit he told me I did not need the leave and that he would have me feeling better in less than a month. This was a real surprise to me but I was willing to give him and his idea a chance. He put me on a medicine called Carafate. He told me that when you take it, it goes straight to the sites in our GI tract that contains a sore, abrasion or ulcer. It then clumps together and works like a band aid that speeds up healing.t was like a miracle. The usual was you take it is 30 minutes before meals and at bedtime; The exception to this is if you are on stomach meds such as prilosec, tagomet., zantac etc. you should wait and take the carafate two hours after you take the st9mack pill so that the carafate does not inhibit the stomach medicine from working. In less than 3 weeks I was like a totally new person. If anyone has questions let me know; Judy in PA. Oh I forgot to say that if your errosin in your esophagus they have a liquid carafate for that works great. .\
