Guest guest
Wendi, I doubt that the loss of a small amount of the medication did much harm. I know it is so hard to have to go back up on the pred. Are they using MTX with your Remicade? The two are meant to work together-- so even as you taper the pred, you should be going up to 15mg of MTX taken one day each week. If you have liver toxicity with the MTX, then you can get it added to your Remicade or do a MTX injection once a week instead of tablets. The injection bypasses the liver- so you don't get the toxicity! IF they start the MTX as you taper the pred, by the time you are off the pred, you'll have this combo in your system and working well. Plaquenil is also another choice-- it too takes time to build up in your system, but it does seem to help with both the neurological symptoms as well as lungs. Take care of yourself, and take it one day at a time, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
