I had no problem using it. In fact, when I had to take him for weekly

casting changes on Angel Flights and in vans, carrying the car seat

with me, it was the only way to manage him and everything else I had

to carry. If he was in for a long period of time I would lift his

legs a little to take the weight off. Now with the dbb it is no

problem at all.

My daughter had a heel cord release at 7months and she was casted

for 3weeks afterwards and I used a baby carrier just fine. I will

admit she did get very heavy to carry around but she seemed to enjoy

it with no problem. After her casting she was really clingy to me so

it helped out a lot!
