That's exactly what I wanted to say. Sharing more than just our childs feet at

times helps us to share the hard times about our childs feet!

Sometimes it is enjoyable to hear people talking about other things. Sometimes

I skim through them after reading the first few posts. Sometimes it takes the

first few posts to know what the conversation is about. I think that a few

off topic discussions are a good thing...especially to a new clubfoot parent.

It helps to cheer us up and relax our mind, especially when things aren't going

the best with our children's feet. It helps us to get to know each other.

There have been more off topic posts over the last few months, but also more new

members too. If people only email off topic things to each other off board,

then people may not realize how much they have in common other than clubfoot

babies. It helps to build trust and community here, those things are no less

important than the discussion of our children. Just like pictures, we don't

always send pictures to show the feet, lots of time we send them just to show

off. Nothing wrong with that ;-)

God, Allah or whatever diety someone wanted to discuss, I would be

respectful. No one is trying to convert or knock anyone or preach any one thing

here.

If someone doesn't like it then don't read it. That IS freedom. Anything

more than borderlines censorship, IMO.

Also, in the future, it might be helpful to email the offending person via

their private email. I felt like the person who first brought up religion was

being called out and can completely see why she became defensive. How

humiliating it must be to be told " to take it elsewhere, " in front of

everyone...

Just my opinion.

P.S. While it is in the subject list, I am a Christian and I thank God for

giving Dr. Ponseti such a wonderful gift and for giving me such a beautiful

little girl on a daily basis.
