Guest guest
I am so relieved! We went and saw the Ponseti Doctor today in london and he was fantastic. had his first x-rays done today and he is 15 months old. The dr. says the his bone structure is good and with 3 or 4 more casts we will be able to tell if his feet will respond to the casts. If they don't he says they will have to lengthen the tendons in the back of the foot. He also said they may have to move a tendon on the top of his left foot to allow the foot to turn the proper way. he said he doesn't think he will need surgery at all since it is just the tendons and ligaments that are causing the problems. Our non-ponseti doc wanted to do surgery on both feet.... what a sigh of relief. JOhn actually fell asleep while they were putting the cast on! I am so thrilled. We did have to wait 4 hours to get in but it was worth it! We go back in one week for new casts.
