I heard about NAET and thought how much easier this diet would be if I

could eliminate LJs allergies to soy so I calleed a NAET doctor and

someone on this site also said she went to one and was happy. Well to me

it sounds like a bunch of bull. After he explained the money end of it

and how LJ would be holding onto a vial of soy throughout the procedure

of accupressuere and then wash his hands after holding the vial (sounds

more like some silly voodoo), then he could go onto almost eliminating my

sons autism for I think it was $275 down and $75 a week for at least a

year if not more and with no guarentees as each child is different.

Well let me tell you, if he was that close to possibly eliminating autism

in people he wouldn't need my $275 down and $75 each week, he'd be the

richest dude on Long Island. He would have so much grants handed to him,

etc. The best of it yet - NAET doctors are chiropractors!!!!! I am

happy with diets and extensive education, I'm not into voodoo false

hopes.

I wanted to share our experiences with NAET for our 8 yo visually

impaired, autistic daughter. Our cost is no where near the cost

reflected in the message below, and I am not sure if we would have

been able to proceed with it if it had cost us that much. We paid

nothing down. Our practitioner is not a chiropractor. Before our

first visit, our daughter was not doing well with her Braille papers

and fought her vision teacher. After the first visit, Jessi was a

sick little girl. She vomitted and slept for almost three days and

then laid around for several days thereafter, eating very little.

That next Monday at school she aced every single Braille paper,

worked much better with her vision teacher, and has done so ever

since. Her language and understanding of language was better.

I have learned how to test Jessi's' food to see if she will have an

allergic reaction to it. Our practitioner helps her families to help

themselves and requires a couple of books be read. She gives parent

classes, but I've not managed to get to one yet, unfortunately. She

treats the metabolic systems and then the foods, and we do get vials

to use at home.

Jessi's vision has even increased. She will tell me the color of an

object, without fail, and is starting to read letters we are teaching

her written in black on white about 1-1/2 inches high. Her eye doctor

at 3 months of ago told me to keep sunglasses on her when she gets

older so she won't embarrass herself. She no longer goes into a big

giggle-fest in the middle of the night, sleeps better, bowels 100%

improved. She is more plugged in.

NAET is one piece of Jessi's recovery pie, but without it, we would

not be anywhere near as far along. We still have a lot of pieces to

pull together, but per her pediatrician, unofficially, she is not

autistic, as diagnosed at 4 years of age. There are still lots of

issues to deal with, including metals. If you could have seen her on

her first visit compared with now, you would see a totally different

child.

I hope this helps. It really does depend on the practitioner.
