Guest guest
Does anyone know anything about Special Foods? This site is full of information, and sells special flours and foods made from these flours, though it's expensive. I've been trying to put weight on my ds, and was wondering about this sites suggestions for this. Guest guest
I used this company for a while and as you said it was very expensive! I now buy Bagels made from the same flours from the Frances Simun bakery in Texas. I thought the special foods product was very good but I did have some complaints besides the price. *I felt some advice given to me for my son actually did more harm than good. *At times my " pound " bags of flour seemed short, much more than can be attributed to " settling " . *Once a whole bag of flour was missing from my order. (My luck...the most expensive one! It took many e-mails and phone calls at my expense before it was replaced. *I was charged for the full order even if things were back ordered. I finally asked them to cancel all b/o off my order instead, because I could just not depend on them to follow through. Not only could I not afford this, but my life is confusing enough! *I felt that any time I e-mailed them and it was for their benefit I received a quick reply. When it was a complaint I did not hear back at all. Despite all this hassle it was a lifeline for us until I found the FS bakery. My son is severely allergic/sensitive to many foods. If you need more info please e-mail me. Good Luck!
Guest guest
I have a friend who bought quite a bit of their food. She did not like it, and neither did her son. I can't personally say, because I've never tried it. Can they send samples? a > Does anyone know anything about Special Foods? Guest guest
No, the company definitely wont send samples! I had to test the food by trial and error and it became very expensive to figure it all out. At the time though I was desperate and thank god my son ate most of it. We did come to a point after many months when my son started to refuse to eat it. By then I had found the Frances Simun Bakery. The bagels are my son's main staple and as another lister said, worth every penny!
