This has been going on for years, and some of us are praying for the feds to take over the DOE. (Also the DOH, likewise in contempt for the horrid treatment of people with mental illness.) The public school & university teachers are striking on April 5, so the state will have NO public ed at all. Given that Hawaii schools rank 50 out of 51, the students may be better off without it. There are some activist parents, a small group generally considered to be lolo. I spend a lot of time educating people and hold my boy out as an example of what can be done for these poisoned children. Fortunately, he's happy to lecture on the subject of gfcf and mercury chelation! There is one brave md treating the keiki (and under attack) and one DAN naturopath, both on Oahu. Autism is under-diagnosed, with risperodal the standard recommendation. It is heartbreaking. I cannot imagine living anywhere else; but for Ian's future, I think we must move. Hey, how can you live in Seattle? Aren't you cold??? Doesn't the fruit taste funny? HI (Kauai)
