Guest guest
, we started our son on Creon two weeks ago. His tests showed that he was deficient in chymotrypsin, among other things. Anyway, it has made all the difference in the world with Dylan's intestinal problems. He has less pain and discomfort, and the severe constipation is not a problem anymore. Of course, he takes other things for the constipation too, but the Creon made the biggest difference. Personally, I think it's great!! So far, we have seen absolutely no side effects. Hope this helps you.
Guest guest
My soon-to-be 7 yr old son needs enzymes to break down protein and fats. We have been using Intenzyme Forte by Biotics (excellent product), but $$ is tight. Our insurance will cover Creon. 1) Is Creon GFCF? We are also reduced soy. 2) Has anyone had good/bad responses? 3) Have any advice to offer? I would greatly appreciate responses. I need to call the dr's office tomorrow if this is what we chose to do. Thanks,
Guest guest
, My son has been on creon for about a year. We have seen good results as he was not digesting his food prior to that. I open the capsule and sprinkle it on his food a few times a day. The capsules are gf/cf. The writing on the capsule has soy, but if you open it up, you can avoid it.
