Hi there -

We give Vico two teaspoons at about 5:30pm every day.

We started with a 1/2 teaspoon and over a period of about a week and

a half slowly worked our way up to the full dose.

We didn't see anything negative, but I think that's because we went

slowly.

I used a mesh strainer and it got out the big bits, but the powder is

pretty fine and we have a bunch of sediment in our tea. A fine mesh

filter didn't work too well becuase it would get clogged right away -

the one I use is not as fine as a regular tea strainer, but not as

big as a pasta strainer - I got it in the grocery store - stainless

steel mesh.

As far as your son's reactions - it could be a detoxing thing, but I

don't know for sure. I guess just start really small and slowly work

up to full dose. Some of our kids are really sensitive, so take is

slow.

We started the tea this month too. This is our third

week, I noticed on the first night that I had a

stomach ache, but now we take it in the middle of the

the night, 1-3ish when we do potty breaks. I haven't

noticed too many side effects - Jay(PDD/NOS, 10 has

been extra-moody in the am- but he is also going

through COMPLETE corn withdrawl-right down to the

minute amount in salt so that may very well be that.

It definitely makes us all gas-sy and every time my

boyfriend and daughter take it their noses run and

run- clear, but they run! They both have sinus

issues. As an obese adult, in combination with this

GFCF diet that I began a month ago, I have lost 15

pounds which seemed to fall off quicker when I started

the tea but I am not sure if there is a correlation there.
