Guest guest
My daughter has always slept for 3-4 hours nightly since birth (usually 3). She is 3.5, the Dr. put her on Chlonodine as well. I found that a full pill makes her crazy, it is like she is too high to sleep. She weighs about 35 pounds. So I started giving her half a pill (which are the .1 mg size) at around 8:00pm and then I give her another 1/4 pill around 8:45. By 9:00 she is ready for bed and will sleep until around 5:00am. If she does wake in the middle of the night she will go back to sleep so much easier than she used to. Sometimes I will give her another 1/4 pill to help her get back to sleep. When I was giving the whole pill she would fall asleep by 9:00 and then be up by midnight either screaming or trying to crawl out of the bed and just really acting bizarre down on the floor. We deal with bizarre daily but this is like really higher than a kite behavior. another thing that I think helps is to turn the TV on when she wakes up, I watch FOLATE volume low, otherwise she will talk to her hands and try to burrow under the covers playing around. I too tried the Epson salt bathes and didn't see any difference. Another thing that I thought helped was the addition of the brainchild nutritionals vitamins, as long as she doesn't get too much...... on and on
Guest guest
It sounds like you do a pretty good job of keeping track of your child's sleep, and I recommend everyone on the list whose children have sleep issues to keep a sleep diary. We keep a very detailed one for . When we start crunching the numbers we really start to learn. (Of course we keep a food diary too, which I also highly recommend for every using the diet.) If anyone wants info on sleep diaries, e-mail me privately and I'll be glad to share. Pat in Ohio
